Launching H&F Healthy Homes, the Green Doctor Scheme available for residents of Hammersmith and Fulham
Hammersmith and Fulham Council have partnered with Groundwork on a bespoke H&F scheme called H&F Healthy Homes (H&F HH). This scheme provides free support to help people save money on energy bills and keep their home warm or cool. For more details please look here H&F Healthy Homes programme.
If you live in Hammersmith and Fulham, you might be eligible for various free support this scheme provides.
Our support includes three areas of service:
1. Energy saving advice and support
Making your home more energy efficient isn’t just good for the environment – it helps you save money, makes your home more comfortable, and can improve your wellbeing.
Our expert advisors provide tailored support to help you understand your energy use, reduce your bills, and access help if you’re struggling with energy costs. We can provide this support in multiple languages and work with you to find solutions that fit your household’s needs.
2. Free home visits
Our experienced energy expert can visit your home to give you personalised advice on making your home warmer, more energy efficient, reduce your energy debt and provide other support to you.
We’ll assess your current energy use and heating system and can install free energy-saving measures including:
- LED light bulbs
- draught-proofing
- radiator foils
- pipe insulation
- hot water jackets and more!
3. Help with further financial support through grants
Making bigger improvements to your home can lead to significant long-term savings on your energy bills. This can include insultation, window glazing, heat pumps and much more. We can help you understand what improvements would work best for your home and guide you through accessing funding support.
Our advisors can help you apply for schemes including:
- Energy Company Obligation
- Great British Insulation Scheme
- Boiler Upgrade Scheme
- Warm home: Local grant (TBA)

Who is eligible?
You can access our free service if your household has:
- someone aged over 60
- children under 10
- a person with a disability
- someone with a pre-existing and/or long-term health condition
- a pregnant person
- a total income below £36,000
- energy costs that take up more than 10% of your income.
Note: Service availability may vary based on demand. Priority will be given to those most in need.
