Are you struggling with high energy bills or keeping your home warm? We would love to help you!
When you get in touch with us, we will organise a visit to your home to help you with your energy woes and document that visit by filming it so we can show more people what the free service is all about. So, what to expect from this visit?
- A full free home visit to look at your energy usage, heating controls and your bills to help you save money, the visit won’t last more than 2 hours
- We will work around you – a date and time that suits you!

Why share your story?
Your experience matters. When people talk openly about the challenges of rising energy costs, it helps others feel seen, and helps us drive real change.
By sharing your story, you can help us:
- Raise public awareness
Real stories bring the energy crisis out of the statistics and into human terms – helping the media and decision-makers understand the real impact on people’s lives. - Reach others who are struggling
Many people feel isolated and don’t know where to turn. Hearing that someone else has been in the same position can help them feel less alone and more confident in seeking support. - Inspire action
Your voice could encourage others to become Green Doctor ambassadors, volunteer at local events, or help spread awareness so more people can access help.

Who should share their story
We’d love to hear from you if:
- you’re in urgent need of resolving your energy problems – you have tried everything and feel unsure of the future.
- you’re currently struggling with rising energy costs or finding it difficult to keep your home warm and comfortable for yourself or your family.
Your story can show the true impact of the energy crisis, help others feel less alone, and strengthen our efforts to make sustainable energy available to everyone.
How will we share your story?
After you submit your story we will review it carefully.
Unfortunately, we can’t respond to everyone. But, if you’re eligible and shortlisted, we will call you for an informal chat to find out more and work out the best way to share your story.
We often use people’s experiences in:
- Media (including speaking to journalists, if that’s what you’d like to do)
- Campaigns
- Funding appeals and bids
- Social media
- Blogs
